This course is currently the recognised medical qualification required for the HECPO looking to work in the Oil and Gas industry.
The course, ran by our vastly experienced registered Paramedics, is designed to advance the CPOs medical skills towards achieving the First Person On Scene- Intermediate qualification. Taught at our superb scenario building at our 1300-acre training academy complex, all candidates will learn the skills associated with rapid assessment, stabilisation and transfer of casualties suffering from trauma injuries and other medical emergencies.
This course will help students gain a solid skills foundation enabling them to work individually or as part of a team in a variety of situations and locations throughout the world, in particular the oil and gas fields of the Middle East.
The first three days of the course covers the basic FPOS approved by Edexcel and managed by the IHCD. The final two days are for candidates requiring further, more advanced skills required of the modern day CPO/Team medic. The course is broken down into both theoretical lectures and realistic practical sessions laced with the vast ground-truth experience of our instructors who utilise the superb facilities at the academy.

The Extended Skills taught over the final two days of the course include:
Fluid Therapy
Advanced Trauma Chest, Abdominal, Head and Extremity injuries

Blast injuries
